What is Sherlo?​

Sherlo is a visual regression testing tool for React Native. It renders your app on iOS and Android simulators in the cloud and screenshots your UI, so your team reviews every visual change before it reaches your users. Integrates with Storybook. Free plan included, no credit card required.

How Sherlo works

Add Sherlo to your project​

1. Initialize Sherlo​

Terminal

npx sherlo init

This command:

• Runs the one-time setup
• Creates a config file
• Selects default devices to test on

2. Run your first test​

Terminal

npx sherlo test

This command:

• Uploads your builds to the cloud
• Runs visual testing

3. Review the results​

Results appear in the Sherlo web application. Review each detected visual change, then approve it or report it as a bug.
